There is so much more to our story and don’t worry I won’t stop posting but I know there are some of you out there right now that are reading this blog and you are absolutely desperate. You are ready to take a match to the bridge of love and blow it up. You’re tired, spent and done. Some of you need a conference like ‘Love and Respect’ or ‘Laugh your way through Marriage’ both are very good and helpful. Others of you are like my husband and I and you need to see a professional counselor.

Proverbs 24:3-6

By wisdom a house is built,
and through understanding it is established;
through knowledge its rooms are filled
with rare and beautiful treasures.

The wise prevail through great power,
and those who have knowledge muster their strength.
Surely you need guidance to wage war,
and victory is won through many advisers.

You cannot forget that you are engaged in a war. I know it is so difficult to grasp and understand but you are trust me on this.  A Christian professional counselor can help you wage this war through the Word and through prayer.

Ephesians 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

One of the practical ways I fought this war:

I never took my wedding ring off except to clean it. I did not take it off when I filed for a separation, I did not take it off when Darin filed for a divorce, I did not take it off when we had to go to mediation for Macy. I never took it off.

I did not keep my ring on for Darin to see. I kept my wedding ring on for Satan to see and look at every minute of every day. I wanted him to know I wasn’t giving up and I wanted him to know I was going to kick his ass.
