If God has asked you to be faithful in a difficult marriage, then this is the blog for you!

Yesterday I was reading Proverbs 20 and I came upon a verse I do not remember reading. It is such a great verse for marriage. When you are in a difficult marriage rage can war inside of you, serious rage. A stranger on the sidewalk could spit on you and you would smile and say Jesus loves you, do you need some cash! That stranger can’t break your heart like a spouse can. On the other hand a spouse can say or do something to you that crushes you and well… you can have some serious feelings of revenge. Many times you have legitimate reasons for these feelings. If I was in your shoes I would want revenge too. I would want payback. You want them to hurt like you hurt.

The Bible says in verse 21,

Do not say, “I will pay you back for this wrong!” Wait for the Lord and he will deliver you.

Even though I have not written in a couple months Darin and I have been praying for you. I will get back to the swing of things but I want you to know God is with you as you pursue Him. He is I promise you! Keep reading His Word. There is not a day that goes by that Darin and I don’t think, “look what God has done for us!” I can tell you it was worth all the waiting, all the suffering, every single bit of it!

Don’t give up!

I believe this is a struggle for women more than men. When I read this post to Darin he didn’t get what I was trying to say because he has never had those feelings toward me.  Not because I’m perfect but guys just don’t want revenge like women do. This is the truth!
