I Wouldn’t Stand for That

1 Corinthians 14:15

I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding.

What a wonderful verse this is.

I do not remember ever reading it but I LOVE it.

Before Darin and I walked through our very very long and difficult season I would pray and speak about marriage mine and everyone elses marriage without understanding. Honestly I think about some of the things I have said and I just shake my head at myself! I was very very religious! I would say stuff like:

If that were me this is what I would do…

I would not stand for that…

That’s BS….

What an ass he is…

She should just leave him…

Just put your foot down…

In my head I just always thought if there is a problem with your spouse you just bare down and fix it. You have to draw the line right? I mean come on how much more can a person take?

Now that Darin and I are on the other side of this journey absolutely filled with peace and victory this is how we pray:

God give them grace for this journey however long it may take even if it costs them everything. Help them get outside help if thats what they need…the right outside help. Help them begin to find comfort in your precious powerful Word. Give them patience. Help them remember that longsuffering is actually in the Bible. As they walk through this we know, we know without a doubt, their Faith will increase just like they prayed for so many years ago. Let divine wisdom enter their hearts. Give them the courage to actually believe what they have been singing about all these years in church. You are the God of the impossible! Jesus, as they are on the front lines in battle for their precious families, help them know what bullets to take and then also when to duck. Only You Jesus can help them with this.

I pray very differently now. Just like that verse says I pray and sing with understanding. Consequently this has made me very effective! This has made Darin and I very effective! Walking through this trial is going to make you very effective!

On a side note…

Last week Macy’s doll, Madeline, had her one month birthday.  So on Friday Macy and I went to the store and bought a cake mix and I taught Macy how to bake a cake.

This picture above is our party we had for Madeline.

I want you to know we are praying for all of you that are in desperate need for a miracle. Keep doing what God is telling you to do through His precious and powerful Word. If you do not know what to do just wait. Continue to overcome evil with good. Only give up if God tells you to. If He is going to tell you to do something He HATES trust me He will make it crystal clear!

Praying!!!!

2 Corinthians 12:9

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. ”Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Proverbs 4:7

Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.
