My husband tore his ACL last week so that means he is going to be off work
for 3 months.
Which means he is going to be home hanging out with me
for probably
3 months
Something that I have noticed that is so so funny
is this
When I tell people who haven’t had TERRIBLE marriages about Darin’s plight
they say
O my… are you going to get sick of him?
When I tell people who have had TERRIBLE/ALMOST DIVORCING/COMPLETELY AWFUL/SPOUSE LEAVING marriages
they exclaim with enthusiasm
How COOL!!! Your so LUCKY!!!
So
So far this week we are getting along great. I am not sick of him and he can’t be sick of me because I am his nurse, his cook, his driver, his tooth brush go getter and the everything else girl. I am a nurturer by nature so I suppose I come natural to all this but we are having fun together. He is frustrated because he can’t do much but I don’t mind. The other night he did do the dishes holding on to one crutch which I appreciated of course! Did he clean the counters like I do…ofcourse not! Even when he has the use of both legs he doesn’t. But my husband doing things “just like me” has become not such a big deal in my book of priorities over the years.
Some things just aren’t important anymore
Like a dirty dish left out on the counter
or
an empty milk carton left on the counter instead of being put in the garbage
or
the cereal box not put away after breakfast
now
all those things mean just one thing
HE’S HOME!!!!
Proverbs 8:17-21
I love those who love me,
and those who seek me find me.
With me are riches and honor,
enduring wealth and prosperity.
My fruit is better than fine gold;
what I yield surpasses choice silver.
I walk in the way of righteousness,
along the paths of justice,
bestowing a rich inheritance on those who love me
and making their treasuries full.
Thank you Jesus for the miracle you did in our lives! Our treasury is certainly full! Thank you for changing my heart and healing his. Everyday we are reminded of your goodness to us! May that same power rest on other families as they pursue your peace and righteousness in their homes!
Praying for you!
