Hi to all my dear friends that check in on my blog.
The last month has been crazy with sickness around our household. We are finally getting back to normal.
Several days ago I got on the keyboard to pray for those of you who are living minute by minute. That is really how it is at times. You know you have to take one day at a time but in order to do that, you literally have to take one minute at a time.
This is what came to my heart and mind as I sang.
Be still and know that I am God
Be still and know that I am God
Be still and know that I am God
Be still and know
Psalm 46
God is our refuge and strength
an ever-present help in trouble
Therefore we will not fear, thought the earth
give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God
the holy place where the Most High dwells:
God is within her, she will not fall:
God will help her at break of day.
Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Come and see the works of the Lord,
the desolation he has brought on the earth
He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth;
he breaks the bow and shatters the spear,
he burns the shields with fire.
Be still and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.
The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
The Sims family is believing God’s very best for you and your family as you choose to persevere. We are praying God gives you courage as you obey Him and do exactly what he is telling you to do. Nothing more and nothing less. While you are driving around today, tonight or at home getting things done put that simple phrase to song. Sing it back to the Him. “I will be still and know that you are God”.
A practical way of being still:
You must be very careful and mindful of who you confide in. This is critical! Think of it like this…I will tell you if you need to know.
