The thing about God that can be entirely frustrating is he asks us to do things without letting us see what the end result is.
Blind faith
He did this to David when he told him to go kill Goliath
If David knew he was going to kill Goliath with the first stone he would have never picked up 5
God did this to Esther
And Moses
He did this to Abraham
And Noah
He did it to me
And he is doing it to you
On and on he has asks his people to do things just because they trust Him
Trusting that He knows what the future holds
Look at even Gideon
Think of how foolish he must have felt weeding down his army to practically nothing
Yet God said do this so he
Did it
God is calling us to obey him because we trust him
We trust that he is faithful to complete what he has started.
This morning as I finished writing this post I flipped open the Bible intending to find Proverbs 3:5,6 but as I grabbled my Bible it flipped open to Chronicles 20 and I had several verses highlighted! These are the verses I had underlined. Oh how I love God’s Word! Love how sometimes God speaks to me when I grab it and flip it open. Not very spiritually fancy but that doesn’t matter does it!
I Chronicles 20
The Story of Jehoshaphat defeating Moab and Ammon
Verse 15b This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.
Verse 17 You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions, stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Oh Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.
Verse 20b Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld: have faith in his prophets and you will be successful.
Verse 21b Give thanks to the Lord for his love endures forever.
I am praying for all of you my dear friends! Skyler is yelling out Mama, Mama, Mama, so I have to go! If God is telling you to fight and stand then that is what you have to do! You have to fight and you have to stand!
Love you in God’s way!
